Let Your Breath Be Your Compass
A creative breathwork and self-discovery workshop
When you are facing a difficult choice, your thoughts may pull you in several directions. Your breath can offer another place to begin.
In this interactive workshop, Brittany Lillegard will guide us in noticing how the breath shifts in different situations and what those changes may reveal about how we are responding.
Using breath awareness, drawing, poetry, and guided reflection, we will explore a more creative way to approach uncertainty, relationships, and everyday decisions.
You do not need to breathe a certain way or have any previous experience. The invitation is simply to pay attention.
Notice your response.
Explore what happens to your breathing when you feel comfortable, uncertain, energized, or pulled in a direction that does not feel right.
Move beyond analysis.
Creative exercises can help you explore an experience without having to explain or understand everything immediately.
Practice listening inward.
Learn how greater awareness of your breath can add another layer of information when you are considering a choice or change.
A Different Way to Listen
A teacher once told Brittany:
“If you can’t breathe there, you don’t belong there.”
The comment was originally about physical movement, yet Brittany began to notice how often it applied to life beyond exercise.
Her breathing changed around certain people, places, opportunities, and decisions. Sometimes it became open and steady. At other times, it tightened before she could clearly explain why.
Over time, the breath became one of the ways she learned to pause and gather more information before choosing her next step.
In this workshop, Brittany will guide you through simple practices that bring attention to your natural breathing patterns. Drawing, poetry, and reflection will offer additional ways to explore what you notice without pressure to interpret everything correctly.
No experience with breathwork, meditation, writing, or art is required. This is not about performance or creating something polished.

Why Spend a Morning With Your Breath?
Because our thoughts are not the only source of information available to us.
You are facing a decision.
When every option has advantages and drawbacks, noticing your physical response may help you understand the situation from another angle.
You feel disconnected from yourself.
A full schedule can make it difficult to notice what you are feeling until tension or exhaustion becomes hard to ignore.
You are curious about breathwork.
This workshop offers an accessible introduction without requiring intense breathing techniques or previous experience.
The morning will combine practical breath awareness with creative exploration. You will have room to notice, reflect, and consider how your breathing responds to the people, choices, and environments in your life.
You may share your reflections when you feel comfortable, but there is no expectation to discuss anything personal.
Your breath responds before you have all the words.
This workshop offers time to pause and become curious about what that response may be showing you.
This gathering is part of the Wild New Way Women’s Collective and is offered free, sponsored by Wild New Way, Life & Relationship Coaching.
Pause before choosing your next direction.
Spend a morning exploring the connection between your breath, your body, and the choices taking shape in your life.
